Professor of Medicine and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Previously Chief of cardiology at USC university hospital and director of the Heart Failure Program of the University of Southern California.
Presently Director of the Heart Failure Program at Los Angeles County+USC medical center and the maternal cardiology program.
Dr. Elkayam clinical and research interests include congestive heart failure, cardiovascular pharmacology, vascular biology, the cardio- renal syndrome and heart disease in pregnancy.
His publications include over 200 peer review articles and 80 book chapters. He also co-edited 3 editions of the books, “Cardiac Problems in Pregnancy” and “Principle and Practice of Medical Therapy in Pregnancy”.
